Curved Spark
Materials: Cherrywood, copper wire, charred beech, wool
Dimensions: 4 × 45 × 20 cm
Techniques: Slow carving, soldering, wood charring
Curved Spark grew from a layered stack of wood and a fascination with the germination of seeds and the growth of natural forms. Through a slow, attentive carving process, the shape revealed itself almost organically. The cherrywood form invited an element of contrast and began a dialogue with the copper wires that rise from the top of the piece like stamens. One elongated wire extends further, like a soft flicker of energy.
The piece rests on a charred beech base, grounding the delicate form while letting its movement and warmth stand out with clarity and intention.
